Abstract

This paper considered the boundary layer behavior, and e ects of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and viscous dissipation on the simultaneous ow of Casson and Walter-B viscoelastic nano uid past a vertical penetrable plate in the presence of heat generation, radiation, chemical reaction, Soret, and Dufour mechanism. The nature of Casson uids examined in the study are blood and uid juice. These two non-Newtonian uids are made to ow into the layer over the vertical plate with the nanoparticles located in the hot region at the layers. The set of governing partial di erential equations (PDE) that represents the model were simpli ed to non-dimensional quantities, decoupled via Gauss-Seidel approach, and then solved numerically employing spectral relaxation method (SRM). The investigation revealed that, the imposed thermal radiation along with heat generation greatly a ects the uid temperature, and thermal layer due to the hotness within the boundary layers, while the applied magnetic eld degenerates the uid velocity.
